Lean Product Design starts from the perspective of the end user. Designers spend a great deal of time not only learning how users currently experience the system and how they want to experience the system, but also co-creating with them the designed solutions. Our approach draws heavily from Lean Startup, Lean UX, Agile Software Development, and the Kanban method.
Since Lean Product Design tackles complex problems involving many stakeholders, more expertise is required beyond the end user and the designer facilitating the process. People such as policy makers, market researchers, economists, ethnographers, civic agencies, and academics are invited to participate in the entire design process from the onset.
